Come Sing with Us!
Free on Monday nights? Consider adding your voice to East Bay Harmony, the East Bay’s local community four-part harmony a cappella chorus. We're currently on summer break, but we’ll have some informal sessions on selected Monday nights — see our calendar page for specific dates. Then come back in September to join us for our 2017–18 season.
- All adults are welcome (but we particularly need basses and baritones).
- No experience is necessary.
- There are no auditions.
- We request a $5 donation for each summer rehearsal you attend. During our regular season, your first month is free — thereafter, dues are $30 per month. (Dues may be reduced or waived in cases of financial hardship.)
Rehearsals are held Monday nights from 7:00 – 9:00 at St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Oakland, located at 116 Montecito Avenue (see map). We’re not affiliated with the church or its choir; we just rent space there.
During our regular season, a two-hour rehearsal with the full chorus is followed by a one-hour Small Group Master Class from 9:00 – 10:00 for those chorus members who are interested in honing their musical skills and ability to blend, with an eye to performing in small groups such as quartets or sextets.
Come visit anytime you’d like to listen, meet the chorus, or sing with us. For more info, please send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org, or contact Mark Bernfield, our music director, at 510-435-5236 or email@example.com.
